Description: STAR TREK: TNG "CAPTIAN PICARD'S READY ROOM - FOSSILIZED AMMONITE" A piece of frequently reoccurring set dressing appearing in various episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation beginning with "The Best of Both Worlds, Part II" and continuing to the end of the series. This item is a large, highly-polished, fossilized shell; predominantly both darker and lighter shades of gray, segmented with accents of blacks and browns, and a completely brown core. The item includes a clear, plastic stand and measures approx. 8 X 8 inches and the stand is 5 X 4 X 4 inches. The item appeared frequenly behing "Captain Picard" (Patrick Stewart) having been switched from a similar item in the preceeding three seasons and being changed to a third type for the set of the "U.S.S. Enterprise-E".
