STAR TREK “ALIEN SCANNING DEVICE”

Description: A prop item similar to those featured throughout Star Trek episodic television. This item is composed of a black, acrylic handle vaguely the shape of a modern-day cordless drill, textured accents around the finger grip, copper-colored “button” on the bottom, a button that activates the untested electronics at the back of the “handle”. Silver-colored, textured accents at the back of the “barrel”, a grooved aperture that suggests something else can be attached to it; a vaguely key-shaped emitter tip featuring metal screen around a top red light and a bottom clear one. Two screws on the back of the handle give access to the battery compartment and the two N-sized, 1.5 volt batteries that power the device. The item measures approx. 6.5 X 4.5 X 2 inches.
