STAR TREK: ENT “XINDI INSECTOID CONTROL SURFACE” FROM “HATCHERY”

Description: A computer interface control surface featured in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode “Hatchery” as part of the set for the crashed Xindi-Insectoid starship. The item was part of a large set piece featured in the episode. The item is made from fashioned wood with a sheet plastic face covered in a metallic silver graphical application that includes Xindi themed readouts and iconography, console buttons, and claw style switches in a fixed position. Dried special effects Xindi-Insectoid ‘goop’ covers the item and has peeled off in most areas, but a large swath of it remains. The reverse features a graphical application that depicts Xindi styled circuitry and features several ‘connection leads’ that are attached in four places and hang from the item itself. A real electrical line runs into the item and is capable of powering the untested bank of green lights embedded in the other side. The item measures approx. 20.5 X 9 X 4.75 inches. One claw switch is off the item but accompanying.
