STAR TREK IV: “VULCAN COSTUME HAT”

Description: A Vulcan costume hat believed to have been featured in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock and/or Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. The item is made from asymmetrically shaped black felt with an iridescent rust red band around the base and a long geometric patterned loop hanging from both sides. A chin strap of the same material ties on the right side and a shield on the reverse is made from the same material. The shield sags due to a break down of foam rubber over time. A molded Vulcan ‘gem’ is affixed to the left side of the band with gold painted Vulcan iconography. The item has laces in the reverse for size adjustment.
