Description: (NBCTV, 1966-69) Uhura’s iconic ear communication device / transmitter, worn by Nichelle Nichols as “Lt. Nyota Uhura” in virtually every episode. The piece is constructed of turned aluminum with a form-fitting clear resin ear piece which is fastened to the aluminum stem with a small screw, accessed by a small hole in the ear piece. Originally acquired from Dick Rubin, a veteran Hollywood property master who worked on Star Trek: The Motion Picture. An important and exceedingly rare piece of Star Trek history.
