Description: (Paramount, 1977) Prototype communicator, one of possibly 10 made for Roddenberry to be used in this planned series. Constructed by prop builder Jim Kirk, and submitted by Brad Nelson (who was commissioned by Roddenberry to build the Phasers for Phase II) along with a number of other Star Trek props to Gene Roddenberry for his consideration for the new series.
