Description: A plastic dome with metallic copper strip applications crisscrossing and a metallic copper painted MDF (micro density fiber board) mount. Items like this made appearances in multiple episodes of Star Trek beginning in The Next Generation typically on Ferengi ships, later in Enterprise on Orion vessels. Usually they were affixed to walls with lights behind, other times they were attached to consoles and were to some degree an interface for the actors to use. The item measures approx. 9.5 inches diameter while being 3.25 tall.
