STAR TREK: “PORTHOS' COFFIN”

Description: An actual wood coffin stained a pleasant shade of brown with a hinged lid, a cream colored interior with a padded lid and a matching pillow. The laying surface is a stuffed mattress on top of wadded dried reeds. The exterior of the coffin features a pair of bar handles and the lid has twin latches for keeping it closed. Obtained for the episode "A Night in Sickbay" of Star Trek: Enterprise wherein "Captain Archer's" (Scott Bakula) dog, "Porthos" (Breezy) became critically ill and incredible measures were taken on the part of "Dr. Phlox" (John Billingsley) to restore the beagle to health. The coffin was featured in a dream sequence during which Captain Archer imagined the funeral of Porthos while experiencing some tension from 'T'Pol" (Jolene Blalock). Item measures approx. 37.75 X 15.5 X 21 inches
