STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE “EXTINCTION – STASIS CASE”

Description: An item kept in “Dr. Phlox's” (John Billingsley) sickbay on “Enterprise NX-01” featured in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode “Extinction”. When an away team from “Enterprise” visits an alien world in the Delphic Expanse searching for signs of the mysterious Xindi they become infected with a mutagenic virus that rewrites their genetic code thereby turning them into the former natives of the planet, the ‘Loque’eque’. When the cure for this virus is found the last remnants of that civilization may be all but destroyed except for a small container teeming with the virus that “Captain Archer” (Scott Bakula) askes Dr. Phlox to keep in stasis. This prop is the stasis chamber where the item is places, a metallic silver box with rounded corners and sides featuring a blue LED light centered above a drawer in the front of the item. The light is activated by a switch in the back of the item. The drawer features no handles and opens when something flat is placed into one of the two slits in the back of the item to push it open. Inside the drawer is an opaque plastic tray for small round objects and if the tray is removed, a setting for eight AAA sized 1.5volt batteries is present connected to a depression switch in the tray. The item measures approx. 7 X 5.75 X 4.5 inches and has feet on the bottom for soft placement and scratch resistance.
