Description: A costume featured in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode “Far Beyond the Stars” for wear by “Cassie” as portrayed by Penny Johnson, parallel to her typical role as “Kasidy Yates”. As part of a (possible) illusion experienced by “Captain Sisko” (Avery Brooks) due to the ‘Bajoran Prophets', Sisko believed he was a black man in Harlem, New York City, in 1953, discriminated against because of his race. In the fantasy, he was engaged to marry “Cassie”, this costume appeared on one of their dates, a red dress with pleating, short sleeve trim with affixed bows, and a wide matching shawl with a black interior lining. The zip up the back is broken, missing a tooth. The sewn in Deep Space Nine tag reads ‘Penny Johnson’.
