Description: A pair of red engineering division-rank strips featured on Starfleet uniforms in Star Trek I: The Motion Picture. The item is red fabric on a black felt board with a gold thread triangle on one end indicating the wearer to be a ‘petty officer'. This style of accent would have appeared on Starfleet Class-B, C, and D uniforms. Only during this feature film were division strips with rank used, in subsequent films they retained their use indicating division but rank was attached elsewhere on the uniform.
