Description: A costume featured in Star Trek V: The Final Frontier for wear by William Shatner in his portrayal of “Captain Kirk” during his attempt to climb up ‘El Capitan'. The costume is a set of black trousers with multiple sewn in Velcro placements, and green accents extending up from the ankle cuffs, a purple iridescent sweatshirt with an orange neck accent and piping, a pair of ‘Borneal’ brand name blue rock climbing shoes with remaining dirt and plant matter from production use, a black nylon belt with a red chalk bag with remaining chalk the top of which has been taped closed with a black metal carabineer. The sweat shirt features a sewn in Paramount tag reading ‘Shatner’ and a stitched repair in the front and a small hole in the back.
