Description: From the episode “A Night In Sickbay” of Star Trek: Enterprise this model dog was made for a scene involving “Captain Archer's” (Scott Bakula) pet beagle “Porthos” (Breezy). Because the scene revolved around a certain specialized underwater surgery and the actual performer could not be expected to remain unconscious or immobile, a prop stand-in dog was produced. The dog features matted fur from its use underwater, a metal brace, for the floatation frame, a hole in the head for the implantation of a ‘chameleon pituitary gland’. The prop measures approx. 24 X 18 X 11 inches. This prop dog was said to have cost the studio tens of thousands to make!
