Description: A costume featured in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home during scenes taking place in the Federation Security Council at the beginning and end of the film. This elaborate costume is a black sparkle fabric robe with a mandarin style collar and matching trousers for wear underneath a sturdy, weighty fabric ‘armor’ that is pleated to appear plated. The ‘armor’ is made from patterned fabric with dark copper colored trim, a placement in the center of the chest for a missing Vulcan gem badge, and has sleeves, thin near the body but dropping into kimono style bell sleeves near the cuffs. The costume also comes with a plum colored felt hat with a silver fabric chin strap tied at the side and an affixed red Vulcan ‘gem’ badge on the forehead.
