Vulcan mummy from the first season of Star Trek: Enterprise
(Paramount TV, 2001-2005) This impressive Vulcan mummy was used as set dressing in the ancient catacombs beneath the Vulcan P’Jem monastery in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode “The Andorian Incident”. The mummy is made of hand-carved foam wrapped in case, and mounted on a wooden board which has been extensively weathered by the studio, and features a gold insignia at the top. The Vulcan pointed ears are quite prominent. Note: two similar mummies sold at the Christie’s Star Trek sale in October, 2006; however, neither of those was as detailed as this one, which is a purpose-built Vulcan mummy. The overall craftsmanship of this display suggests it was used for close-up or foreground shots. Stands fully 6 ft. 8 in. tall.

SALE: Hollywood Auction 27 ESTIMATE: $12000 - $15000
PRICE: $19000
Pato Guzman original pre-production concept artwork of the Enterprise bridge for Star Trek
(NBC-TV, 1966-69) This original pre-production concept drawing by Pato Guzman is the very first conceptualization of what would become the most recognizable nerve center of any ship – be it aircraft, sea-going ship or starship, fictional or otherwise – and features the sweeping, semi-circular bridge control stations, wide projection “window”, and of course, the iconic Captain’s chair from which “Capt. Kirk” would lead his crew to far-flung corners of the universe “Where No Man Has Gone Before”. The drawing is accomplished in pastel and charcoal on an 18 in. x 23 in. sheet of crème-toned artist’s illustration paper, with an engraved ID plate affixed at the lower right corner reading “Control Room”. It is also featured prominently in The Art of Star Trek as the frontispiece for the first chapter, entitled “A Totally New Universe: The Cage and Where No Man Has Gone Before – 1964-1965”. The piece is handsomely showcased in a custom frame featuring Starfleet emblems at the corners to a size of 28 in. x 33 in. overall, ready for display. This is the single most important concept drawing in the history of television, one which spawned an amazing forty-year franchise of science-fiction drama for both television and film.

SALE: Hollywood Auction 27 ESTIMATE: $30000 - $50000
PRICE: $30000
Rare early Leonard Nimoy “Spock” tunic from the first season of Star Trek, also used for the pilot episode “The Cage”
(NBC-TV, 1966-69) Light purple velour tunic with Starfleet “Science” insignia at the upper left chest, and single gold braid ranking insignia on each sleeve. The name “Nimoy” is handwritten in white ink in the shoulder zipper. Worn by Nimoy for the earliest publicity photographs of the series, this uniform tunic also features a small slit in each of the cuffs, positively identifying it as an early first season tunic which was also used for the pilot episode, “The Cage”. Of particular note, the internal shoulder zipper (as shown) exhibits the original color of the tunic – light blue. During the production, repeated dry-cleanings had an adverse effect on the tunics, fading them from the original blue to the light lavender it demonstrates today, some forty years later. Exceedingly rare, this is the finest Spock tunic in existence and the most desirable of all the principal cast tunics from the series.

Rare original pilot episode script of Star Trek, “The Menagerie”, believed to be D.C. Fontana’s copy, and signed by Majel Barrett and Leonard Nimoy
(NBC-TV, 1966-69) Original 73pp script for the pilot episode, with revision inserts and original covers featuring an early incarnation of the Star Trek logo. Dorothy Fontana was Gene Roddenberry’s secretary at the time the pilot was filmed, and this script bears her handwriting on the cast sheet inside the script, suggesting that this may in fact have been her personal copy. The script has a number of important distinctions from the final storyline as filmed, including the name change of “Capt. James Winter” to “Capt. Christopher Pike” (listed prominently on a separate first page, inside the cover), as well as the actual title of the pilot, which at this time was “The Menagerie” and would later be changed to “The Cage”. The script is additionally signed on the title page by Majel Barrett and Leonard Nimoy. A rare and highly desirable original script from the inception of the series.
