STAR TREK X.: SEATBELT FROM CAPTAIN'S CHAIR (DELETED SCENE) | |||
This prop seatbelt was shown being worn by Captain Jean-Luc Picard in his captain's chair onboard the Enterprise-E after their battle with Shinzon. It was featured in a deleted scene called “Advice for the New First Officer”; an alternate ending for the film shown in the ‘Special Features’ section of the Star Trek: X: Nemesis DVD. This scene also starred Steven Culp as Commander Martin Madden; the new First Officer of the U.S.S. Enterprise-E set to replace William Riker. The belly section of the seatbelt is made of cast metal, divided into segments by black tape set into grooves. The center segment has two silver simulated control stickers. Each strap is made of metal covered with black, stitched vinyl that’s attached to the body on metal hinges. Measures approx. 16 x 24 x 21 inches. | |||
