STAR TREK I: FEATURE STYLE DIVISION-RANK STRIPS – SECURITY SILVER – PETTY OFFICER
A pair of silver security division-rank strips like those appearing on Starfleet crewman uniforms in Star Trek I: The Motion Picture. The item is off-white fabric with a gold triangle thread embellishment on a black felt backing. This style of accent would have appeared on Starfleet Class-B, C, and D uniforms. Only during this feature film were division strips with rank used, in subsequent films they retained their use indicating division but rank was attached elsewhere on the uniform.
