Positive feedback great item. A+
A prop item like those featured in Star Trek episodic television. This item is a sextant, a device used by sailors for the past five hundred years to figure latitude and location while at sea, it is tarnished brass, featuring several small, round shades for looking into the sun, a tiny telescope on the side (detached but included), and a sixty-degree dial (one sixth of a circle, hence the name) called the arc, a slider and dials to tighten it that moves along the arc to synchronize with the noonday sun. Included is a custom made wooden case with a metal anchor on the lid. The item measures 7.5 X 8 X 4 inches.
