| “THE HOST” COLLECTION | |||
| A set of five costumes featuring actors portraying characters in the emotional Star Trek: The Next Generation episode “The Host” in which Dr. Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden) falls immediately in love with the ‘Trill' Ambassador, “Odan” (Franc Luz). The Ambassador is killed in the episode and a symbiotic creature that lives within him is transplanted to Commander Riker (Jonathan Frakes) who then assumes the identity of her previous lover until a new host can be found. Notably, this episode features the first appearance of the “Trill” species that would later play such a prominent role in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. The lot is made up of five costumes consisting of the following: 1. A burgundy long-sleeved dress that tapers into a V at the bottom. It has red lining and black trim around the shoulders for detail. It zips down the front and has “Nicole” inscribed in black marker inside the collar; 2. A navy blue overcoat that tapers into a V at the bottom. It has black trim around the shoulders and intentional distress on the right shoulder complete with snaps running down the front; 3. A long sleeved burgundy dress that tapers into a V at the bottom. It has purple lining, as are the sleeves, with black trim around the shoulders. It zips at the front and has a tag that reads, “Deep Space Nine – Jackie Koch”; 4 & 5. Two matching navy blue dresses that taper at the bottom and have blue lining. Each has black trim and a zip up the front. Both come with blue pants that could be interchangeably worn with the blue dresses. They are held up with black elastic suspenders and have stirrups. The tags read, “Deep Space Nine – Chris Doyle” and “Deep Space Nine – Leigh McCloskey”. | |||
