| A translucent plastic tube with aluminum metal casings on either end, plastic non-conductive guards surrounding contact nodes. The interior of the prop features differing colored fluorescent bulbs as evident by their changing hues in the episodes “In a Mirror, Darkly, Part II” and “Zero Hour” of Star Trek: Enterprise. Used in the former episode as a relay through which warp plasma control was regulated “Phlox” (John Billingsley) removed them to sabotage the stolen “U.S.S. Defiant” during its attack on alien rebels. Previously used on the Xindi super weapon to regulate energy, “Captain Archer” (Scott Bakula) rearranged them to create an inversion sequence that would destroy the weapon before it had an opportunity to fire on Earth.
