| A Starfleet PADD (Personal Access Display Device) featured in the motion picture Star Trek IX: Insurrection. Made from plastic components with a backlit ‘screen' featuring a translucent application that depicts ‘Sector 441 – Briar Patch’ this item has working lights. Activated at a switch on the right side of the item the power supply appears to have been based around a rechargeable internal battery, yet an additional battery case has been installed allowing for a makeshift interchangeable battery supply to be used. Three 9volt batteries may be connected within and as per this unusual configuration the connection caps are loose within the cavity though they still fit on the batteries to make the circuit. Painted metallic gray with gold, black, and silver adhesive accents this item is a rare find in terms of quality, function, and aesthetics. Measures approx. 14.75 X 10.25 X 1 inches and comes with a black synthetic leather pouch with a Velcro flap for transporting the item. | |||
