| This model is believed to be a Starfleet Command building used on Star Trek episodic television. It is common for the production art department to recreate model cities in order to film them and give the illusion of a life size place. This particular model was found in a box labeled by the Star Trek crew as “Starfleet Command building models”. The building is a façade made primarily of spray painted foam core, cardboard and black acrylic. The model has been glued in sections with a sponge and moss faux shrubbery around the base. It has become unglued and is now in two sections however the pieces easily fit back together and stand independently even without re-gluing. Measures approx. 12 x 6 ¾ x 19 ¼ inches. | |||
