STAR TREK X: NEMESIS “KOLARAN” COSTUME
An elaborate costume featured in Star Trek X: Nemesis. When the “Enterprise-E” crew receives ‘poistronic' signals coming from a nearby planet they realize they may have located another android being like “Data” (Brent Spiner). Upon reaching the surface of the planet in their all terrain vehicle, the away team collects the pieces of this new android until they are attacked by ‘Kolarans’, natives of the planet. The Kolarans are a pre-warp civilization and extremely territorial. They wear jumpsuits to protect them from the harsh desert planet environment and home made armor to protect them from threats. This costume is a full length tan jumpsuit distressed to appear worn and the armor is an intricate working together of multiple materials ranging from rubber, canvas, metal, and other components. The costume comes complete with boots with green laces, the soles of which have been painted black on their outside rim, and are fitted with thick wool insoles. The jumpsuit features an astonishing array of threadwork, laces for size adjustment at the cuffs and ankles, and a zip up the front.
