STAR TREK: VOYAGER ‘DA VINCI – MONA LISA' SKETCHES
A holoprogram used by “Captain Janeway” (Kate Mulgrew) of the “U.S.S. Voyager”, ‘Da Vinci's workshop’ was a place of amazing constructs and even more impressive ideas. Portrayed by John Rhys-Davies, “Leonardi Da Vinci” worked alongside “Janeway” asking life’s questions and attempting to solve them. “Da Vinci” appeared in several episodes like “Scientific Method” and “Concerning Flight”. These set of four sketches are detailed studies of Da Vinci’s famous painting ‘The Mona Lisa’. The first sketch is a pastel study of the full portrait with detail to the eyes and right sleeve. There are also paint spots on the picture. Measures approx. 24 x 21 inches. The second study is a charcoal rendering of Mona Lisa’s arms and hands. Measures approx 24 x 21 inches. The third study is a simple sketch of Mona Lisa’s face focusing on the lips and chin. Measures approx. 10 ½ x 23 inches. The fourth piece is a brown pastel study of Mona Lisa’s sleeve. Measures approx 24 x 28 inches.
