| A costume appearing in the episode “Past Prologue” of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, the first episode to feature “Garak” (Andrew Robinson). The costume is a thick green and blue top with matching trousers, and a green and copper, diamond patterned vest with reverse pattern on the inside. Also accompanying is a shoulder covering that matched the vest, but did not appear until the costume was reused in the episode “Cardssians” a season later. The sewn in Next Generation tag in the top are inscribed ‘Andrew Robinson', the costumer’s tag reads ‘#404 DS9 “Past Prologue”, Garak, Andrew Robinson’, and indicates the components, and a third tag reads ‘Andrew as Garek #425’. | |||

As can be seen on the screenshot collage, something is not quite right about the costume.
In its first appearance, in "Past Prologue", Garak doesn't wear the shoulder covering, as it was added for "Cardassians", as the description by IAW mentions.
In "Past Prologue", the vest is green with brown dots, whereas in "Cardassians" it is brown with green dots, matching the shoulder covering. Meaning, the costume sold by IAW has the vest from "Past Prologue" with the shoulder covering from "Cardassians" with mismatched fabric patterns. Additionally, the shoulder covering is worn under the costume, not on top, as can be seen on the screenshots. Everything's a little muddled.
