| STAR TREK: DS9 “Y'POR COSTUME” FROM ‘THE BEGOTTEN’ | |||
| A costume featured in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode “The Begotten”, wherein “Odo” (Rene Auberjonois) tries to instruct an infant changeling while “Major Kira” (Nana Visitor) gives birth to the O'Brien’s baby. The costume is for wear by Peggy Roeder in the role of “Y’Por”, the Bajoran midwife who assisted in the delivery, and is a full-length, long-sleeved beige under dress, a dress of brown and black vertical stripes with yellow outline, a yellow and orange floral brocade silk apron sewn onto the dress that goes completely up the back, around the collar, and completely down the front, and emerges from the cuffs, an attached belt around the front, a white cotton cloth tied around the neck during the delivery, and several ceremonial birthing sashes made of the same materials and in the same designs as the dress. A sewn in tag reads ‘Deep Space Nine, Peggy Roeder’ and the costumer’s tag reads ‘DS9 510, Y’Por, Peggy Roeder’. | |||
