STAR TREK: VOYAGER “24th CENTURY EV SUIT – CHAKOTAY” | |||
A costume style first appearing in Star Trek VIII: First Contact for wear by Starfleet crewmembers engaged in extra-vehicular activities in a non-atmospheric environment, these EV suits also appeared in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and Voyager. The costume is a half length Spandex jumpsuit with gray tubing accents and black suspenders with a multi-colored faux button box on the left thigh, a cropped top with sleeves and a multi-colored faux button box on the left sleeve, matching boots with red flairs on the inside and metal accents on the outside ankle, matching gloves with a black snap latch, a vacuum formed chest and back piece with a red rib section and untested internal electronics made to power the button boxes, chest lights, and interior fans. The chest piece is inscribed ‘Chakotay', ‘stunt’, and ‘#3 Chakotay’, this male chest and back piece are the most complete and in the best condition of remaining male EV suit accessories. The costume also comes with a vacuum formed neck skirt for attaching the vacuum formed helmet with a clear, but cracked faceplate. The helmet features untested internal electronics and a loose gray internal element. Also included is the ‘cracked’ faceplate from the helmet of “Captain Picard” (Patrick Stewart) featured in Star Trek VIII: First Contact, a clear molded plastic piece with etched in shatter pattern. The sewn in Voyager tag in the costume top reads ‘Robert Beltran’, the half jumpsuit is inscribed ‘John’ on one side. Labels in the boots and gloves indicate wear by various actors such as ‘Gelbert Coloma’, ‘Al Goto’, and ‘Josh Clark’ who performed as ‘Lt. Carey’ in Star Trek: Voyager. This EV suit is the single best representative of remaining male First Contact style space suits. |
