STAR TREK IX: “SON'A PARTICLE COLLECTOR KEY – ALTERNATE ENDING”
An elaborate hand prop featured in the alternate ending to Star Trek IX: Insurrection. When “Captain Picard” (Patrick Stewart) boards the Son'a Particle Collector ship to destabilize and thus destroy it, he is confronted by a winded “Ru’afo” (F. Murray Abraham). As Picard has already started a chain reaction that is detonating all over the ship, Ru’afo turns to find him standing on the other side of a gangplank holding up an item identical to this. A clear acrylic tube with metallic gold colored accents inside and out housing a series of sequentially flashing yellow and red lights. The item is powered by a single A23 sized 12.0volt battery housed in the metal tube connected to one side and activated by a black depression button hidden inside the same. The item measures approx. 5.75 X 1.75 X 1.75 inches and retains power from production use. The battery is positioned positive side toward the twist off cap.
