STAR TREK: TNG “TRANSPORTER CONTROL LCARS PANEL”
A smoked acrylic LCARS style panel featured variously in Star Trek episodic television. The item is roughly trapezoid shaped and features a graphical application adhered to the reverse appearing when the item is backlit. The item also features a series of light control boxes that illuminate the ‘touch screen’ controls on the function side when a set of lights plugged into the boxes are lit in sequence. The item is missing some of the bulb cover plates on some of the boxes due to time and storage conditions. The graphic is inscribed ‘pattern buffer’ on the left and ‘target’ on the right. A degree of liquid or smudge damage to the graphic has occurred on the right side and the item measures approx. 20.5 X 1.5 X 10.5 inches. This panel is the only one thus far located with a light configuration of this kind and the only transporter control themed panel known in the collection.

Notes from someone

Sometime

This is in fact a rather cool panel as it is the transporter room LCARS interface of the USS Defiant. It was seen in such episodes as "A Call to Arms", "Waltz" and "Valiant" (as the USS Valiant transporter console). The large, standing console, featuring the LCARS display was created later in the run of DS9. I think it first appeared in the USS Defiant's transporter room in "A Call to Arms". When the room was seen in earlier episodes ("Past Tense, Part I" and "Past Tense, Part II", for example, the transporter controls were located in the walls next to the platform, no free standing console.
The standing console was seen on DS9 until the end of the series and after that sometimes appeared in VOY seasons six and seven. For those VOY appearances, the LCARS display up for auction was removed, as the console first appeared as a Nakan console in "Memorial", then as a Borg console in "Collective" and finally again as a Federation console in Doctor Zimmerman's lab on Jupiter Station. In that appearance, a different LCARS display was used (the console was no longer used as a transporter console), explaining why the DS9 LCARS display was kept separately (and was exposed to a liquid, causing the damage).

Here are screenshots from "A Call to Arms" and "Valiant". The patterns of shapes and colours match perfectly.
