| A caramel colored medical officer's uniform featured in Star Trek V: The Final Frontier for wear by DeForest Kelly in his portrayal of “Dr. McCoy”. The costume is wool trousers with green division stripes down the outside seam of the legs, a pair of green sleeveless undershirts with ribbed collars, and a matching sweater with a green division strip around the left sleeve with remaining threads from a removed rank badge; a gold and silver colored badge indicating the wearer to be a ‘commander’ is included in the lot, the item has only one wire backing. Finally, a pair of size 11 men’s Reebok name brand thermal boots with dust still remaining in the quick fasten strips from production use are included. The boots represent the best of all remaining footwear for this costume configuration and are not character associated by any label or tag. The inner thermal lining is in good condition, but what’s more, the outer synthetic black portions are in good condition, all of the fastens are in working order, one on the left boot is broken but works, the ‘Reebok’ labels have been blacked out by marker or paint. The sweater features a sewn in Paramount tag reading ‘Kelly’, the undershirt features a sewn on Paramount tag with an illegible inscription but the zipper seam is inscribed ‘Kelly’, the second undershirt features a sewn in Paramount tag reading ‘Kelly’, the trousers feature a sewn on Paramount tag reading ‘Jim Halty, Sulu’; a sewn in name brand tag on the sweater is also inscribed ‘Halty’. This lot is the last known representation of “Dr. McCoy” field duty/commando costumes available that has not already been catalogued. | |||
