STAR TREK: ENT “ENTERPRISE NX-01 BUTTON PANEL LOT”
A lot of button panels appearing variously in Star Trek: Enterprise on multiple set components of the “Enterprise NX-01”. The items are composed of multiple materials and depict a variety of graphics and features. One item is black foam core with a graphical application and rubber faux buttons that features a Starfleet inventory application reading ‘Security Mon 483D’, another is shaped silver colored metal with a circular recess and externally applied rubber faux buttons and a foam backing that served as the ‘electronic eye’ on the hatch to a missile/torpedo loading tube in the Armory set of the “Enterprise NX-01”, the keyboard-style item is molded resin and shares the same general production design with buttons, accents, and a blue colored transluscent gel dome. The rest of the items are smoked acrylic with graphical applications applied to the front, rubber faux buttons in gray, black, and white, depicting numeric values. One of the items features static gages that appear when backlit which depict a degree of liquid damage, this item features screw hole for mounting. Another item feature static buttons, but raised, another features the characteristic ‘speaker’ serving as a communications panel. The lot also contains am ‘1013 AUX’ panel like those appearing all over the ship as door buttons, busying accents, and more. A security panel is present, a small, square shaped item with an off white ‘thumb’ panel an ‘electronic eye’ and two buttons; the item is one of those excellent found objects appearing in television production converted for set use due to molded name brand information on the reverse. Finally a molded resin switch button bar painted metallic silver is present. The smallest item measures approx. 2.75 X 2.75 X 0.25 inches, the largest 13.25 X 9.25 inches. The lot contains 11 items, one is labeled ‘Outside Sickbay’ on the reverse having been removed carefully from a set wall prior to set strike.
