STAR TREK VIII: “USS ENTERPRISE-E TURBOLIFT CONTROL READOUTS”
A pair of computer interface panels believed to have been part of the “USS Enterprise-E” set. The items are turbolift readouts and controls and are composed of smoked acrylic panels with graphical applications applied to the reverse that are visible when backlit. One item depicts a cross section of the topmost section of a starship including the main bridge, upper portion of the computer core, and an orange indication of a turbolift shaft. The display graphic depicts the location of turbolifts 1 through 4 in blue and yellow, and reads ‘Starfleet safety protocols in effect during alert status’. The second piece is also an LCARS-style (Library Computer Access and Retrieval System) display indicating ‘Turbolift 01: Main Bridge’. The items measure approx. 4.5 X 6.5 inches and 6.5 X 5.5 inches with beveled edges and the reverse retains the remains of adhesive used to apply the items to set pieces.
