STAR TREK: ENT “ENTERPRISE NX-01 – UPGRADE COMPONENT” FROM “SILENT ENEMY”
A prop item featured in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode “Silent Enemy” where it appeared as part of an “upgrade” to a ship system during a scene taking place between “’Trip’ Tucker” (Connor Trinneer) and “Captain Archer” (Scott Bakula). The item is fashioned from multiple elements; molded resin painted metallic silver, with polished metal, plastic, and rubber. The item also features a Starfleet inventory application and rubber faux buttons. Internal electronics powered by a 9volt battery are activated by a switch on the right side hidden by one of the rubber tubes to allow for green lights to blink in sequence. The lights are hidden by the metal covering and do not appear while it is in place, batteries not included. The item measures approx. 9 X 11 X 2 inches and is painted to appear distressed, presumably for use in later episodes. A high degree of adhesive residue is present on the reverse battery cover plate where it was adhered to set pieces.
