STAR TREK: ENT “ENTERPRISE NX-01 ENGINEERING TOOLS” FROM “DAEDALUS”
A prop equipment case with corresponding equipment featured in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode “Daedalus” where the hand prop equipment appeared in the hands of “Commander Tucker” (Connor Trinneer). The hand props were also used in the episode “Minefield” by “Captain Archer” (Scott Bakula) and “Malcolm Reed” (Dominic Keating). The case is sturdy molded plastic with a metal hinged lid and metal butterfly latches with two sturdy spring loaded handles that shore up to the case for a smaller profile. The exterior is adorned by cautionary graphical applications and multi-colored Starfleet inventory applications. The item opens to reveal an excellent array of hand props including two metal clamps, two faux props made from machined metal, a mini screwdriver with a star shaped bit, an ‘actuator’ with no moving parts, a forked wand with graphical accents in metallic gold, and several empty cavities in the foam. The lid contains a rechargeable ratchet driver with no rechargeable adaptor present, and a molded resin frame painted metallic silver with two bullet shaped laser pointers affixed to the tines, a removable data card with silk screened circuitry, a pair of Starfleet inventory applications, and a push button feature for an unknown application. The foam tray in the case pulls out by way of fabric tabs at the edges to reveal a trio of spanners which recur in multiple episodes. The spanners are hexagonal in shape measuring approx. 12 X 1.5 X 1.5 X 1.5 inches and one is fashioned from machined metal with multi-colored accents and rubber faux buttons, a second matches and is fashioned from soft foam rubber while the third is made from sturdy molded rubber. The case seals to measure approx. 21.5 X 17.25 X 10.5 inches and depicts scuffing due to time and storage conditions.
