STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE XINDI-REPTILIAN COSTUME | |||
The Xindi-Reptilians are an aggressive humanoid race of the Xindi species. Featured for the first time in the Star Trek: Enterprise series, the Xindi-reptilians were keenly focused on destroying planet Earth, going so far as to try and create a Xindi bioweapon to completely annihilate humanity. This Xindi costume started out as a Reman costume in Star Trek X: Nemesis but was modified and reused for season three of Star Trek: Enterprise for the Reptilian Xindi. The pants are made of metallic purple vinyl with padded sections on the side of each leg and the shins, surrounded with gold cord added for definition. The top section is a black bib with a zip down the front. The jacket is made of metallic purple vinyl with quilted padding across the shoulders, back, waist and arms and around the collar. All padded sections are defined by gold cord. It zips up the front and has had the Reman “X” removed from the back of the neck to make it ‘Xindi'. The caged frame worn over the suit is distinctly Xindi and is made of plastic black tubes painted silver and gold for a metallic finish. The tubes are attached to an imitation leather harness that has gold piping and a gold and black Egyptian hieroglyphic motif over its entirety. The cage seals at the front with three metal twist clips. The costume is complete with matching boots and gloves. Also included is a black vest and jumpsuit designed for wear underneath the Xindi costume. |

These items have a gray outer casing featuring a lighter gray detail line around them, a textured black area towards the top where it separates from the bottom to reveal circuitry for untested electronics; items set on the top to “cook” would actually be on four metal stands that extend up from the casing from a surface of white acrylic. Twelve AA batteries power one of the devices and 4 D's in the other; there is also an extraneous wire leading out from the housing of one of them with two definite ends that suggest connection to another power source. Included is a cartridge of the same material that plugs into the bottom of one of the implements and features a gray, textured switch that activates three steady red lights and two blinking green ones powered by a 9-volt battery. The dome and sheet rest over a custom made light bank that consists of ten lights attached to a circular particleboard base. It is powered by a standard U.S.A 120Volts Type-A two pronged plug. Due to time and use, some of the light bulbs don't work but it does not diminish from the overall effect. The light base is smaller than the dome and the three components; base, sheet and dome do not attach together. Measures approx. 11 x 29 inches diameter. |

This lot consists of two framed pictures of “Harry” with his fiancé at the time of his leaving Earth, “Libby” (Jennifer Gatti); his Starfleet Academy diploma, and four commendations including the “Zefrem Cochrane Medal of Excellence”, all in glass frames with outlining metal. Also included is the Starfleet Academy diploma of “Harry's” friend “Joseph Carey” (Josh Clark) in a matching frame. The pictures measure approx. 13 X 11 and 11 X 11 X 1 inches; the commendations measure approx. 16 X 14 X 1 and 14 X 16 X 1 inches respectively. |
