“Dr. Soong” (Brent Spiner) was a cyberneticist who created the Soong-type androids including “Data” (Brent Spiner) and “Lore” (Brent Spiner). He was featured in multiple Star Trek: Enterprise episodes including “Borderland” and “Cold Station 12”. According to the Star Trek continuity guides, this piece was used as set dressing in Dr.Soong's quarters during the show. It has a painted particleboard base, acrylic tube and dome with metal components. Copper colored applications are applied for detail. Inside the tube is a mesh panel. A red light shines up through the tube from the base and a separate white light shines brightly from the dome. It is powered by a standard U.S.A 120Volts Type-A two pronged plug. (This was one of the first items identified in the Star Trek warehouse last year but we’ve held on to it until now simply because we all got quite attached to it – our little Robot!) A costume lot similar to those featured throughout Star Trek: Voyager. The first costume is a uniform of a member of the Kazon-Nistrim, once one of the strongest but more recently one of the weakest sects; a sleeveless, woven tunic featuring a pattern of black, various shades of pink, and diagonal stripes radiating out from the shoulders; olive-colored overall-style leggings reminiscent of a black houndstooth design, sewn in feet, forest green trousers with stirrups for the feet. Gray, decorative straps featuring gold-colored, pyramidal accents, a short-sleeved, boucle` woven jacket with a darker but similar pattern to the tunic, fur accents on the arms, collar and skirt edge, and faded purple panels. Also included are distressed, knee-high, black leather boots featuring faux reptile-skin and textured accents, and one of the trademark Kazon wigs with the clumps of hair and resin accents. A sewn in tag denotes wear by veteran Trek stuntman Tom Morga and the costumer's tag reads ‘Voyager, Kazon Nistrim, Tom Morga’. A costume similar to the Jem'Hadar featured first in the episode “Jem’Hadar” and then throughout the rest of the Dominion War in Deep Space Nine being that they were the soldiers of the Founders. This costume consists of a sleeveless, full-length, jumpsuit with the top half a black, spandex-like material, the bottom being neoprene over a gray fabric featuring a starburst pattern down the middle and stirrups for the feet. Also included is a vest of further neoprene under sections of black, lattice textured and wrinkled fabric separated into further sections by oversized black piping, a distressed jacket matching the lower-half of the jumpsuit, faux suede around the collar, fabric, a pocket on the right leg, a wide belt and bandolier featuring intricate rubber and molded foam accents that have started to dry out and crack due to time and storage, multiple loose costume accents with rubber, resin, or metal components and some with Velcro placements, knee-high, black, leather boots in a matching motif with the rest of the costume. With this costume comes the Jem’Hadar melee weapon, a prop Kar’takin, it is a short, wooden pole-arm type weapon with a weighted metal end, the blade is molded plastic on a metal frame; long, vaguely triangular, straight edged to a point and made for stabbing and slashing in battle. Multiple sewn in tags denote use by multiple actors in multiple episodes and shows. |
