When the crew discovers a downed enemy spacecraft they spend an extended amount of time trying to discern the secrets of the aggressive aliens who attacked Earth, and “Captain Archer” (Scott Bakula) becomes obsessed with protecting the lives of several unborn enemy embryos to the point his crew mutiny's to salvage their mission! This console is designed to appear as alien as possible in that it features ‘insect finger switches’ with Xindi character letter applications on each; an opaque dome covered by a second dome interface with black honeycomb details applied lights up when the console is plugged into a standard AC110v outlet accessed by a 46 inch 2 prong plug and cable; a translucent orange surface rings the dome, and the pedestal and base have been painted a metallic silver color in a patter reminiscent of insect construction. The base is approx. 22 inches in diameter while being 6 inches high. The item is overall approx. 40 X 22 inches. Permanent markings on this item state ‘Xindi insectoid console, 67’. |

Honored, hunted, kept as pets, these tusked boar-like animals make appearances or are referenced in various episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, and Enterprise. Targs like this one made appearances in the episode “Sleeping Dogs” in which they hung in the galley of a ‘Raptor-class' Klingon ship. The item is made of foam rubber painted brown with added hair and resin teeth. This meant making a galley for cooking and serving food. Through all seven seasons of Star Trek: Voyager many scenes took place in that set and part of it was a table like this one.
