The robe is patterned with tan and pink colored flying cranes, features cropped sleeves, interior and exterior waist ties, a right side pocket, and a sewn in Paramount tag reading ‘Robin Curtis’. A matching Nichelle Nichols robe was previously auctioned which also featured a Paramount tag thus lending likelihood that the items were used in feature production rather than during Robin Curtis’ appearance in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episodes “Gambit, Parts I and II”. | |||

The item is made from asymmetrically shaped black felt with an iridescent rust red band around the base and a long geometric patterned loop hanging from both sides. A chin strap of the same material ties on the right side and a shield on the reverse is made from the same material. The shield sags due to a break down of foam rubber over time.
