STAR TREK X: “NEMESIS STYLE HERO STARFLEET TYPE III MARK III PHASER RIFLE” | |||
A damaged, albeit working hero version Starfleet Type III Mark III phaser rifle featured in Star Trek X: Nemesis. The item is a solid cast resin prop weapon with multiple working internal electronic features and metal accents. The prop is similar to previous Nemesis style phasers excepting that instead of metallic silver chrome adhesive accents the item is adorned with fashioned sheets of metal accents, some of which have lost their adhesive characteristics, but are accompanying. Multiple working battery powered electronic features are present and they are listed as a working Surfire name brand flashlight mounted into a fixed housing at the top of the stock that activates at the push of a button on the bottom of the stock, a working power readout on the stock that activates via a button switch (a line of green LEDs lights brightly across the gage from left to right, and a second red line of LEDs follows immediately thereafter), and a working trigger activates a four diodes at the barrel end and four on either side of the emission tip to create a ‘firing’ effect. The power readout gage functions on a CR 2 S sized 3volt battery, the other internal elements work on unknown batteries which still retain power from production use. Another electronic feature is the ‘power cell’ which is revealed by sliding back a metal cover plate immediately in front of the gage that is composed of a fashioned resin ‘power pack’ with translucent acrylic ‘batteries’ affixed to the top. This item is powered by a 25A sized 9volt battery (included with auction win, but kept out of housing to maintain power) that is housed internally and lights the item red, the lights do not deactivate except by way of a pressure switch that, when resting in its cavity within the weapon, should be stilled by sliding the cover over it. The weapon is also outfitted with a black nylon shoulder strap that retracts into the butt of the item. The item is painted metallic pewter with black accents, some scuffs are visible on the nose of the item and some paint flecking has occurred at the butt of the rifle. The only major damage to the item is the scope characteristic of this version in the film is broken completely away from the rear of the flashlight mounting though a yellow and a green wire is still present. The battery casing across the top of the emission end has not been opened and in fact the screws are painted into a fixed position. The item measures approx. 33 X 2 X 9.25 inches. 7613 |
