Incredibly unstable, any life forms in contact with the planet are subject to the effects of rapid aging and evolution. This includes the microbes present on the surface of “Spock’s” (Leonard Nimoy) casket when it was ejected from the “U.S.S. Enterprise” following his funeral in the previous film. The microbes began evolving into these orange creatures that later became gigantic. Made of cast latex, these creatures are opaque orange with additional paint for detail. A lot of molded foam rubber special effects make-up applications created for episodes of Star Trek: Enterprise. The items are lotted into two groups, a primate lot and a reptile lot. The primate lot includes a pair of facial applications, on painted and believed to have been screen used, the other in its raw unpainted condition. The painted application is lifelike and supple, in good condition with curing edges folded slightly in on itself. The reptile lot consists of a facial application that covers the neck and the entire front of the head, a pair of hand top coverings and a palm covering, all unpainted; and an unused palm covering that has been painted but retains the tear away foam rubber that exists during casting. The painted palm represents reptilian scales; all the reptile applications are in excellent unused condition. |
