A costume featured in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode “Armageddon Game”, wherein “Dr Bashir” (Alexander Siddig) and “Chief O'Brien” (Colm Meaney) are presumed dead after one of the races with whom they are assisting to dispose of their stockpile of biological weapons, decides to break their truce. This costume is a stunt version of the T’Lani “Nydrom” (Larry Cedar) costume and is a long-sleeved, full-length, brown jumpsuit featuring textured vertical stripes, open gloves with a thumb and two fingers, stirrups for the feet, and a zip up the back; a long-sleeved, neoprene jumpsuit covered in an olive colored material with turtleneck type collar, brown neoprene accents around the arms and connecting the mid-riff cut upper portion from the lower that extends to the knee, matching trousers of a wrinkly design and overlapping, billowy legs. Also included are a pair of knee-high, black vinyl/rubber boots worn by the character "Nydrom" (Larry Cedar) in the episode and with a label stating his name inside. There is minor fading along the shoulders of the jumpsuit, slight fading on the shoulders of the neoprene over suit, and very minor fading on the trousers. A costume similar to those featured in various Star Trek Feature Films from “The Wrath of Khan to the opening scenes of “Generations”. This costume consists of a long-sleeved, full-length red jumpsuit featuring tan shoulders, a black, ribbed collar and cuffs, black piping, a wide black stripe along the inner sleeve and down the leg, hoops for a belt, and unattached shoulder division strips denoting the wearer as part of the Operations branch. Also included is a matching cuff division strip featuring five gray, metal, Starfleet commendation bars, one metal pin denoting ten years of service, one denoting five years of service, and a pair of black “Puma” athletic shoes with red accents of the Starfleet insignia with wear from time and storage that make them rather fragile. There is a metal badge attached to the left sleeve of the uniform denoting the wearer to be “Petty Officer 1st Class”. The uniform has several sites of distress including the shredding of the ribbed cuffs and collar, premature wear of the black piping, evidence of something having been removed from the chest, and distress on the back to appear ‘dirty’ or used. |

An elaborate costume featured in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode “Lonely Among Us”; wherein the “Enterprise-D” receives a delegation of alien dignitaries who share a weighty animosity. This costume is that of the head of the reptilian Selayan delegation “Ssestar” (John Durbin), it consists of a full-length, pumpkin-colored robe featuring an abstract, black, floral pattern, black straps that go over the shoulders, unattached, matching sleeves, a beautiful, attached robe in a gold, faux reptile skin pattern that flows down from the chest and covers the lower body. The black straps on the inner robe are covered by a wonderfully elaborate full-length cape that consists of all manner of shapes in reflective gold and almost every shade of orange and brown that ends in a ‘tail’ in the back; a large, decorative, metal clasp on the front that secures with several smaller clasps on the inside. Included are a pair of ankle boots with the lower portion painted in the pumpkin color as the robe and a pair of rubber ‘hands’ molded into a reptilian form featuring textured, scale detail, painted an appropriate green color, and complete with separately painted ‘claws’. A sewn in tag in the pumpkin-colored robe and the cape both read ‘John Durbin’ and the bag that the ‘hands’ are in features a label that reads ‘Ssestar’. This costume is one of a kind and no further examples of it are expected to be found. |
