STAR TREK: ENT “ENGINEERING JUNCTION CONSOLE” | |||
A piece of set dressing featured in various episodes of Star Trek: Enterprise in the engineering department. This item was inset into any one of a large series of like control junctions that made up parts of the walls of engineering. Carefully removed from sets, this item is in reality a ‘Radio Shack Sound Mixer board with a serial number of ‘006163’. The item is powered by a two prong standard 120volt plug that, when activated, does cause onboard lights to come on but has not been tested on actual sound equipment. Consisting of five main slides down the front, various dials, more slides, buttons and switches, this already handsome item was altered in appearance, painted in the color scheme of the “Enterprise NX-01” engineering bay. The RCA-style audio plug ins on the back are a series of four stereo channels, an effect and output jacks, and a monopole microphone jack. With handles on either side, screw holes for wall or rack mounting, and rubber feet on the bottom for table top use, this item is completely versatile and a definite rarity. The item measures approx. 19 X 9.5 X 3.5 inches. |

A lot of four shield set dressings featured in various episodes of Star Trek episodic television. This lot consists of four shields; the first one is a round, metal shield featuring round, raised accents around the outside, raised stripes at various spots around the circumference, the Klingon symbol painted in the middle and fragile, vintage leather lining the shield and cracked, brown leather handles. The second shield is distressed, rounded diamond shape with a raised circle in the middle of an "X" and a snake figure painted on it; according to continuity guides, both shields were featured as set dressing in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode "Bounty". The third shield is smaller, is worn brown leather wrapped around a wooden core, features a dragon design painted on it, textured pattern of hearts around the circumference, a pointed knob in the middle, vintage leather lining with one brown leather handle. The last item is a buckler more than a shield of black wood, metal triangles around the outside and metal, star-shaped accents. The reverse features a hand written inscription 'RKO' referring to the vintage production company RKO Radio Pictures. The first shield has an approx. diameter of 25 inches, the second approx. 35 X 17 inches, the third approx. diameter of 18 inches and the last a diameter of approx. 12 inches. This item is a silver-colored, metal-reinforced case that could have found use for the transportation of medical supplies or engineering tools alike; it features multiple “Enterprise NX-01” graphical applications, butterfly and standard latch closures, and handle with rubber grip. The item opens from the top vertically, detaches when open, and across the front horizontally; both open to find foam padding for the stored items. There is minor wear from time and storage conditions in addition to a moderate dent in one side that impairs closing the lid back but does not make it impossible. It measures approx. 10 X 14.5 X 19 inches. |

Appearing in the deep background during the funeral services for “Spock” (Leonard Nimoy), the item is a black metal helmet with orange cloth covering and a hood that extends around the face and neck, snaps under the chin and features a black nylon interior. The ridge of the helmet from the front to the back is folded over cloth affixed and features a cropped yellow operations division strip affixed to the forehead. The item is in excellent condition with dust stains from time and storage conditions being the only imperfection. |
