In the Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, “Kirk's” (William Shatner) son, “David Marcus” (Merritt Butrick) researches the “Genesis” planet which was created in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Incredibly unstable, any life forms in contact with the planet are subject to the effects of rapid aging and evolution. This includes the microbes present on the surface of “Spock’s” (Leonard Nimoy) casket when it was ejected from the “U.S.S. Enterprise” following his funeral in the previous film. The microbes evolved into these orange oversized creatures. Made of foam latex, the creature is painted in shades of orange and brown with dried special effects coatings used to give the skin a moist appearance on screen. There is a slit in the underside of the enlarged portion where a hand was inserted to animate it like a puppet. Measures approx. 109 x 17 x 5 inches. | |||

The costume is elaborate and beautiful! A mustard colored sleeveless jumpsuit with black trim, a bronze and gold colored shirt with gold trim, a wood patterned dickie with multiple colors including gold trim, and an iridescent rust colored corduroy vest, and an accompanying, matching Ferengi head wrap. A lot of items located in a container labeled ‘Phlox's Qtrs’ for use in episodes of Star Trek: Enterprise. The lot consists of several authentically vintage books: ‘Tre Historier af Zacharias Topelius’ from 1894, ‘Nelson’s Encyclopedia’ volume ‘St. – Turkey’ from 1949, and ‘Samlern’ from 1935, as well as a pair of faux book file cases with inventory applications on the exterior. Also included, a seemingly functional vintage microscope with a missing optic; a trio of functioning microsurgical devices painted metallic silver, two severing instruments, one of which was featured in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode “Acquisition” by handling of Clint Howard as “Muk” and a third that is a clamp; a fourth item is a shell for a similar device; and a brown glass jar with a fixed lid and an alien graphical label applied to one side. Finally, the set dressing readouts featured on “Dr. Phlox’s” (John Billingsley) bulletin board are present along with an unlabelled silver colored metal covered bulletin board which was located separately from the readouts. The readouts are blue colored scans and diagnostics in duplicates, four complete pairs with various graphics, and three translucent graphical printouts for backlighting each listed as being ‘bioscan’, and a white cardstock paper printout with alien iconography and artists renderings of organs. |

According to inside resources, the double panel was most likely used for the Star Trek experience and/or World Star Trek Tour rather than as a series piece. Made of robust clear acrylic, the bottom panel features the silhouettes of the starships in silver applications. The top panel, also clear acrylic, features the teal silk-screened detail of each ship that rests perfectly over the metallic silhouette backgrounds panel. Also applied on the top layer are more metallic applications that read “Starfleet Ships” and have bars for detail. Measures approx. 57 x 48 inches. |

This item was featured as part of the interior mechanism of the Xindi Super-weapon; it has a resin cast brown cylinder roughly the shape of an extremely oversized lantern featuring a sticker on the side with Xindi script on it, an open area with several silver-colored plastic rods holding what would be the “lid” if the lantern metaphor is extended; six plastic fluorescent “lights” with graphical application accents around a similarly decorated metal core, a silver-colored plastic top featuring textured accents and plastic “windows” along the circumference and a group of six plastic “cog” looking aspects. There are wires extending out from the bottom and the device lights up in screencaps but the electronics are untested. The second item is similar to the first in color but has a taller base, and has long, curved pieces of metal instead of so many circular shapes and a piece on the top that summons imagery of a weathervane. The item is positioned on a soft foam rubber base colored to appear as marble and the statue itself is painted to appear as though it is made from bronze and ages to appear realistic. The likeness matches that of acclaimed Academy Award winning actor James Cromwell following his performance in Star Trek VIII: First Contact. An item like this appeared on the desk shelving of “Captain Archer” (Scott Bakula) in multiple episodes of Star Trek: Enterprise. The item depict the inventor in his costume from Star Trek VIII holding rolled design schematics in his left hand, while pointing ahead of himself with his first and middle fingers reminiscent of the gesture used by “Captain Picard” (Patrick Stewart). The item measures approx. 15.5 X 12 X 7.75, the base of the item measures approx. 7.75 inches diameter. An excellent console ‘display screen’ featured in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode “Shadows and Symbols” on the flagship of “Colonel Kira’s” (Nana Visitor) blockade against the Romulans. The item is a piece of smoked acrylic with a translucent graphical application applied to the reverse that appears when back lit by a light source. The item depicts tactical data in a purely Bajoran fashion with alien readouts and displays. The item features screw holes for mounting and measures approx. 38 X 34 inches. |
