STAR TREK: ENT “VULCAN LIRPA” FROM “KIR'SHARA” | |||
A prop item featured in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode “Kir’Shara”; wherein the “Enterprise NX-01” attempts to diffuse a stand-off between the Vulcans and Andorians while “Captain Archer” (Scott Bakula) and “T’Pol” (Jolene Blalock) search for an ancient Vulcan artifact. The ‘Lirpa’ is a traditional Vulcan sparring weapon used by competing males as part of the mating challenge during “Kal-if-fee” ritual during “Pon farr” and appeared in the episode to pay homage to the Original Series episode “Amok Time”. Vulcan Security forces used the item because energy weapons were rendered useless in “The Forge”. The item measures approx. 54 X 8 inches. The item represents one of an extremely limited supply. |
