The costume is a form fitting jumpsuit with multiple molded black rubber ‘body armor’ components that feature various Velcro connections and attachments with plastic tubing. The jumpsuit is a black thermal-underwear styled affair with attached feet, a zip up the spine, and a zippered inseam, perfect for affixing all of the molded features with heavy duty Velcro placements. The molded rubber ‘exo-plating’ armor is composed of items that wrap around the body and fasten through either belt or Velcro placements with multiple molded rubber raised accents to suggest technology. They comprise a wraparound for the thighs and shins, biceps and forearms, a torso covering that the wearer steps into and fastens by way of belt with Velcro, a chest armor piece, an abdomen armor piece, a set of shoulder plates, a set of neck tubes, a pair of gloves, and a pair of spats. Multiple loose items were located with the costume, several are Velcro backed for attachment to corresponding pieces that fill space and allow the armor to appear more covering. The costume pieces are labeled ‘Tafoya’ and a sewn in Star Trek TNG tag in the thermal jumpsuit is inscribed ‘Mr. A. Tafoya’. A second tag reads ‘Steve Lambert’. Adrian Tafoya is a recurring Star Trek background actor, Steve Lambert is a veteran Star Trek Stunt actor, and there is no indication as to when he performed in this under suit.

STAR TREK VIII: “BORG ALCOVE MANNEQUIN - HEADLESS”STAR TREK VIII: “BORG ALCOVE MANNEQUIN - HEADLESS”
A Borg alcove mannequin created for Star Trek VIII: First Contact for use as fillers for background performers. The item is molded foam rubber with an internal PVC frame, painted black, metallic silver, and copper with other painted accents. The item features multiple multi-colored light bulbs that flash sequentially at the torso and around the neckline with varying degrees of functionality. The electronics are powered by a single rechargeable Makita name brand 9.6volt battery (not accompanying). The battery fits into a mounted position on the back with a Velcro attachment. The techno-arm on the right side is removable molded black rubber; a slit in the front of it may not be attributed to damage and could have production purpose. The paint around the back of the mannequin shows signs of deterioration. Generally a visible degree of flaking occurred leaving portions of the yellow foam rubber materiel apparent. The right foot of the mannequin is removed exposing the PVC framework inside and the left side foot is loose. The item measures approx. 69 X 29 X 12 inches and is for some reason without a head! Exposed internal construction material is visible where the neck would attach to the head.
