STAR TREK: TNG “Q as BORG” / “CROSIS – STUNT” FROM “DESCENT”
A Borg drone costume used during stunts as the character “Crosis” featured in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episodes “Descent, Parts I and II” and worn by John deLancie in his portrayal of “Q” as a Borg drone in the Simon and Schuster video game “Star Trek: Borg”. The costume is a full length form fitting black thermal body suit with a zip up the spine with multiples molded rubber and plastic exo-armor elements. The armor pieces consist of thigh and calf pieces, a torso front and back, a chest and shoulders front and back, bicep pieces, a right arm forearm piece and two gloves with stitched in rubber techno-coverings. The pieces all feature molded rubber made painted accents to suggest hardware and many are paired with plastic tube coverings in coils. The footwear is a departure from typical drone costume in that they are heavily altered running shoes labeled internally ‘John deLancie’. The armor pieces are all labeled ‘John deLancie’ and ‘Stunt Crosis’ with further inscribed names including (Tom) ‘T. Morga’ and (Gary) ‘Hunter’. In the thermal jumpsuit a sewn in TNG tag reads ‘Mr. M. R. Burke’ who portrayed “Goval” in “Descent, Part II” and a canvass belt for the thigh pieces features a sewn on TNG tag that reads ‘Morga’ and ‘Hunter’.

STAR TREK VIII: “BORG ALCOVE MANNEQUIN”
A Borg alcove mannequin created for Star Trek VIII: First Contact for use as fillers for background performers. The item is molded foam rubber with an internal PVC frame, painted black, metallic silver, and copper with other painted accents. The head is painted a lifelike pale flesh tone to create the appearance of a humanoid with severe blood loss. The item features multiple working multi-colored light bulbs that flash sequentially at the torso and around the neckline. The electronics are powered by a single rechargeable Makita name brand 9.6volt battery. The battery is fastened to the body with a mounted housing and the electronics are applied to the spine by way of black adhesive. The techno-arm on the right side is molded into the arm. The paint around the back of the mannequin shows signs of deterioration. Generally a visible degree of flaking occurred leaving portions of the yellow foam rubber materiel apparent. The right foot front of the mannequin is removed exposing the PVC framework inside. The item measures approx. 28 X 72 X 11 inches. Sealed inside its custom made wooden crate the item measures approx. 32 X 17 X 80 inches. Check out page 239 of “Star Trek: The Next Generation; The Continuing Mission, A Tenth Anniversary Tribute” by Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stephens for a look at some of the mannequins in use.
