“Vice Admiral Nakamura” (Clyde Kusatsu) was a 24th Century Starfleet administrator assigned as the Sector Commander of Starbase 173 and featured in three Star Trek: The Next Generation episodes. This uniform was made for wear during the episode “The Measure of a Man”. The uniform includes a sleeveless black jumpsuit with Command red trim up the front of each leg. The Command red jacket has black shoulders, black trim around the collar and black chevrons around the cuffs. The collar is red as is the band around the shoulders. Gold and silver colored detailed trim is added over the black cuff chevrons and over the red shoulder band. Attached to the collar are two corresponding metal Vice Admiral rank pips that were located separately from the costume. There is a small Velcro patch on the left breast for a combadge (not included) to attach and there is a zip up the back. Due to time and storage there is slight fading down the left sleeve. Costume comes complete with costume tag.

The costume is an early feature films era extra-vehicular spacesuit comprised of a tan and brown jumpsuit with multiples ribbed elements, molded plastic accents to suggest technology, with gloves and gaiters that attach via clasps, and two separate EV packs, both inscribed internally ‘Shatner’ or ‘Kirk’. The EV packs are two piece elements, the first is connected at the shoulders and features molded foam ‘seals’ and untested internal electronics presumably made to power external lighting. The second piece is one seen in Star Trek I: The Motion Picture, a molded plastic frame with shoulder and waist insets for screw in bracings which are not present, believed to have been repainted orange and brown for use in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, with an added grip at the collar (remember “Khan” (Ricardo Montalban) lifting “Chekov” (Walter Koenig) off the deck?), and internal untested electronics, and sturdy shoulder straps. While it is clear that “Kirk” wore only one space suit in the feature films, there are two EV packs offered in this auction. The interior of the jumpsuit has been inscribed ‘W. Shatner’ as have the gloves.

A flag admiral's rank badges, strip, and campaign ribbons featured on a rear admiral in the Starfleet Headquarters sequence in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. The badges are silver and gold colored metal, one is affixed to a red placement for the left costume forearm sleeve, antique multi-colored ribbon and gold lace with a single fabric swath to further indicate rank is worn on the same sleeve, and a trio of variously sized campaign ribbons are present, multi-colored with various metal embellishments. A gold colored string is accompanying for attachment to the front of the uniform jacket.

A female Starfleet Admiral uniform comprised of two separate costume pieces. The black dungaree style trousers with red trim on the cuffs were made for wear by “Admiral Gromek” (Georgann Johnson) in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode “The Emissary”. The accompanying costume tag reads “146, Emissary, Georgann Johnson, 1 TNG, Admiral Gromek”. The Admiral jacket is command red with black shoulders, black bands around the cuffs and gold cord trim. The sewn in costume tag and accompanying costume tag both read “Voyager – Shay Garner”.

STAR TREK: TNG “ADMIRAL SIMONS UNIFORM” FROM “MAN OF THE PEOPLE”
“Admiral Simons” (George D. Wallace) was a Starfleet admiral who supported “Captain Picard's” (Patrick Stewart) decisions in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode “Man of the People”. The admiral jacket is command red with black shoulders and black V down the front. It has gold colored trim around the black areas and three bands around the cuffs. A small Velcro patch is on the left breast for combadge (not included) to attach and there is a zip up the back. The sewn in tag reads, “Star Trek TNG, George D.W.”. The black Starfleet trousers are not Admiral Simons but are included to complete the costume. The accompanying costume tag reads, “Star Trek, TNG, Admiral”.

STAR TREK VI: “FLAG OFFICER'S RANK AND COMMENDATIONS – VICE ADMIRAL”
A set of flag officer's commendations and ranks featured in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. The rank badges are gold and silver colored metal pins with wire backs, one is affixed to a red placement for the left sleeve forearm. The lot also contains gold fringed multi-colored trim with a pair of rank markers sewn on, said to be made from antique trim and no longer available, these were worn on the sleeve between the rank placement and the division strip. The citation bars are multi-colored fabric affixed to pin backed bars with shaped metal embellishments. The lot comes with a length of gold colored string for affixing to the front of a uniform double breast underneath the black trim. This set indicates the wearer to be a ‘vice-admiral’.
