STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE “KLINGON TARG”
It could be said that the most beloved animal of the Klingon Empire is the “Targ”. Honored, hunted, kept as pets, these tusked boar-like animals make appearances or are referenced in various episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, and Enterprise. Targs like this one made appearances in the episode “Sleeping Dogs” in which they hung in the galley of a ‘Raptor-class' Klingon ship. The item is made of foam rubber painted brown with added hair and resin teeth. The head is attached with a metal ring to a rope fixture that runs up into the body though the head has at one point been severed. It measures approx. 48 X 11 X 18 inches.

STAR TREK: ENT “PORTHOS” SUBMERGED STAND-IN DOG
From the episode “A Night In Sickbay” of Star Trek: Enterprise this model dog was made for a scene involving “Captain Archer's” (Scott Bakula) pet beagle “Porthos” (Breezy). Because the scene revolved around a certain specialized underwater surgery and the actual performer could not be expected to remain unconscious or immobile, a prop stand-in dog was produced. The dog features matted fur from its use underwater, a metal brace, for the floatation frame, a hole in the head for the implantation of a ‘chameleon pituitary gland’. The prop measures approx. 24 X 18 X 11 inches. This prop dog was said to have cost the studio tens of thousands to make!

STAR TREK: TNG “INTERPHASIC ORGANISM”
An unusual episode to say the least, “Phantasms” involves something truly impressive, “Data” (Brent Spiner) dreaming. In his sleeping states Data confronts an array of surreal situations and imagery, one a “cellular peptide cake” made up of none other than “Deanna Troi” (Mirina Sirtis). Soon, in one of the turbolifts, Data corners Troi and stabs her in the shoulder for no apparent reason but the reality of the situation becomes clear when Data enters a state of unreality and dreams the conclusion to the episode. The crew have become infected with ‘Interphasic Organisms', not visible to the naked eye, but revealed by way of an ‘Interphasic scanner’ (soon to be available in auction). Data’s actions against Troi appear to have to do with his unique android abilities and an attempt to live out his dream of slicing into her arm to remove one of the organisms. The item in question is an actual prop Interphasic Organism made from latex, resin, and metal components. The brilliantly preserved prop shot model features multiple legs and tentacles, tines at the mouth and anus all painted in a gruesome lifelike fashion, and a metal support pillar with screw thread base for attachment to a stand. The pillar has an approximate 23 inch length of yellow plastic cable with wiring inside presumably to work untested interior components. The item measures approx. 16 X 14 X 6 inches.

STAR TREK III: SEARCH FOR SPOCK – ACCELERATED GROWTH CASKET MICROORGANISM
In the Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, “Kirk's” (William Shatner) son, “David Marcus” (Merritt Butrick) researches the “Genesis” planet which was created in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Incredibly unstable, any life forms in contact with the planet are subject to the effects of rapid aging and evolution. This includes the microbes present on the surface of “Spock’s” (Leonard Nimoy) casket when it was ejected from the “U.S.S. Enterprise” following his funeral in the previous film. The microbes evolved into these orange oversized creatures. Made of foam latex, the creature is painted in shades of orange and brown with dried special effects coatings used to give the skin a moist appearance on screen. There is a slit in the underside of the enlarged portion where a hand was inserted to animate it like a puppet. Measures approx. 109 x 17 x 5 inches.

STAR TREK: VOYAGER “NON-HUMANOID CREATURE – NOTHING HUMAN” PROP
This impressive special effects prop creature was featured in the Star Trek: Voyager episode “Nothing Human” in which the creature attaches itself to “B'Elanna Torres” (Roxann Dawson) in order to sustain its own life. Although the majority of the crew wants to kill the creature, “Captain Janeway” (Kate Mulgrew) wishes to try and save both the creature and Torres. With this she succeeds and the creature is transported peacefully back to its ship. The prop is made of foam showing the head and partial body painted shades of pink with a green section running from the top of the head down the back. The green areas also have applied glitter. There is a split down the back of the creature that reveals the carefully crafted internal organs. A tube attaches through the underside to a balloon that inflates when blown into, giving the effect of a living being. Due to time and use, the balloon has burst however it is simply a standard balloon that can easily be replaced. A second tube inflates a circular mass lower down the body and this is still in working order. Two arms also made of foam are included however the hands are lost to time. A metal wire protrudes from each allowing them to be reattached to the main body. Creature measures approx. 24 x 12 x 4 ½ inches.

STAR TREK: VOY “BORG DRONE REMAINS”
The Borg are an eclectic race of cyborgs with a single goal – perfection. There are no individuals, only members comprised of many species that were assimilated into the collective. It is made of soft foam rubber, sponge and plastic painted to appear metallic and mechanical. The partial skull is made of plastic painted silver. Due to time and use some of the rubber is degrading.
