A prop EPI Capacitor featured in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode “Q-Less” for use by “Miles O’Brien” (Colm Meaney) to reenergize and then open a runabout door. The item is a pair of internally mounted tri-prong electrical conduits cased in a wood exterior. The item saw use in the episode by being plugged into the side of the runabout where lights on the top and bottom of the item activated in sequence through the use on an unknown power source. The untested device is painted beige externally with black adhesive detail and a black button. The item measures approx. 11.5 X 9 X 2 inches. A warning application on the side reads ‘When using D.C. do not rupture under load’.
