STAR TREK VIII: FIRST CONTACT “DATA” 21st CENTURY COSTUME
Having followed a Borg Sphere back through time, and quickly dispatching it, the “Enterprise-E” crew beams down to Earth to make certain that the Borg have not disrupted the timeline. In the next 24 hours, “Zefram Cochrane” (James Cromwell) will launch his historic flight of the “Phoenix”, Earth's first warp capable vessel and set into motion events that will lead humanity out of its post atomic horror and to the birth of the Federation. Part of their mission is to determine whether or not Cochrane’s ship will fly. “Lt. Cmdr. Data” (Brent Spiner) goes under cover with the away team in 21st century clothing to ascertain just that, thereby setting the world up for ‘First Contact’. The costume is made up of three main components; a pair of mustard colored suede pants with a black nylon belt and a pair of matching suspenders, all with black plastic size adjustable buckles, a yellow button front shirt with a minute black zigzag pattern and minor ‘distress’ in the way of holes in the left shoulder blade[presumably from the incident where Data was shot by “Lily Sloane” (Alfre Woodard)] with another in the seam of the left ribs, and a green zip front diamond pattern quilted vest with matching brown leather strips sewn into the shoulders. Interior ‘Western Costume Co.’ tags in the vest and pants are inscribed ‘Brent Spiner’.
